Polly Jude lives on the far north coast of NSW.
She writes contemporary YA fiction about kick-arse chicks.
Polly has appeared as the Wednesday Wordsmith on local ABC radio twice (Breathe and Head Space),
was a Byron Writers Festival Pitch Perfect
finalist in 2013 (Cherry) and 2016 (Head Space).
In 2014, Polly won a highly contested place in the Byron Writers Festival Residential Mentorship (Breathe),
in 2017 (Sherwood Road)
and again in 2019 (Blood Lines).
In 2017, Polly was selected to participate in the
Varuna Publisher Introduction Program (Head Space).
Polly completed the Hachette Fellowship (Running Scared) in 2019 and in 2021, Polly was the winner of the Australian Society of Authors Pathways to Publishing Mentorship (Running Scared).

In June, 2025, Polly was the Writer in Residence at the Kyogle Writer's Festival where she worked on her novel, Sherwood Road.
Polly has had a regular YA book review column in the Byron Writers Festival Magazine, Northerly, since 2013 and completed her Masters in Arts (Children’s Literature and Creative Writing) in 2016.
